ABOUT ALANA
Alana has over 15 years in higher education experience. Most of her career has been in admissions and academic advising and as a result she has an insider's view on what the best admissions applications look like, what it takes to get into an Ivy League and very competitive college, and how best to advise high school and college students. She enjoyed a great career in admissions at Harvard University, and in advising at University of California San Diego, and Boston University. She was a part of a unique advising system at the College of General Studies at Boston University, that specialized in individualized attention. While there she earned a nomination for the Boston University Academic Advising Award for her extended services including career choice, and work personality testing.

In her free time she enjoys technology consulting, long walks in nature, weight lifting, and is a patron of the arts, theatre and film festivals.
